MindsMetric ("we", "us", "our") is an online psychometric assessment platform operating at mindsmetric.com. We provide IQ testing, Big Five personality profiling, and career and compatibility analysis.

For the purposes of data protection law in the United Kingdom and European Union, MindsMetric is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

We collect the following categories of information:

Information you provide directly:

• Name and email address (when joining the waitlist or creating an account)

Assessment data:

• Your answers to IQ and personality questions are processed locally in your browser and sent to the Anthropic API solely for the purpose of generating your report
• We do not store your individual question answers on our servers
• Your aggregated scores (IQ score, Big Five trait scores) may be retained in anonymised form for product improvement purposes

Technical data collected automatically:

• IP address (used for fraud prevention and geographic access control)
• Browser type and version
• Device type and operating system
• Pages visited and time spent on the site
• Referring URL

We use your personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

• To provide the assessment service — processing your answers through the Anthropic API to generate your personalised report. Legal basis: Performance of contract.
• To process payment — your payment is handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Legal basis: Performance of contract.
• To send launch and waitlist communications — if you join our waitlist, we will send you one notification email on launch day with your discount code. Legal basis: Legitimate interests / Consent.
• To improve our service — anonymised, aggregated assessment data helps us improve question quality and scoring improvement. Legal basis: Legitimate interests.
• To comply with legal obligations — tax records, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance. Legal basis: Legal obligation.

We will never use your data for advertising, profiling for third-party marketing, or any purpose not listed above without your explicit consent.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the following trusted third parties, strictly as necessary:

• Paddle — our Merchant of Record for payment processing. Paddle processes your payment data under their own privacy policy and assumes liability for payment compliance.
• Anthropic — your assessment answers are sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate your personalised report. Data is processed per Anthropic's API data usage policy. No personally identifiable information is included in the API request.
• Email service provider (e.g. Mailchimp/ConvertKit) — for waitlist and transactional email delivery only.
• Analytics provider — anonymised, aggregated usage data only. No personally identifiable information.
• Law enforcement or regulators — only where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

All third parties are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary:

• Assessment answers: Not stored. Processed in-session and discarded.
• Aggregated/anonymised scores: Retained indefinitely for product improvement.
• Account and purchase records: Retained for 7 years for legal and tax compliance purposes.
• Waitlist email addresses: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, or until 12 months after launch, whichever is sooner.
• Technical/log data: Retained for 90 days for security and fraud monitoring.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting privacy@mindsmetric.com. We will action deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations.

MindsMetric uses a minimal set of cookies:

• Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the assessment session to function (e.g. remembering your progress). Cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies: Anonymised data on how visitors use our site. You may opt out at any time via our cookie banner.
• Payment cookies: Set by Paddle to process your transaction securely.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or retargeting technologies. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time.

Depending on your country of residence, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

MindsMetric serves users across multiple countries. When you use our service, your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States (where Anthropic's API infrastructure is hosted).

Where we transfer data from the UK or EEA to countries not recognised as providing adequate protection, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or equivalent safeguards, to ensure your data remains protected to the same standard.

For South African users, transfers are conducted in compliance with Section 72 of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). For Nigerian users, transfers comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).

MindsMetric is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18.

If you believe a person under 18 has submitted personal data through our platform, please contact us immediately at privacy@mindsmetric.com and we will delete such data promptly.

Our service integrates with the following third-party platforms. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

• No server-side storage of assessment answers or results
• Payment card data handled entirely by Paddle — never touches our servers
• Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments
• Access controls limiting who within MindsMetric can access personal data

No system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware, as required by applicable law.
